Siva co-founded SCIO® in 2007 and has led the organization to rapid growth in the nascent health analytics market through a combination of inorganic and organic assets and integrating them to deliver significant value to clients and investors. Siva is responsible for SCIO Health Analytics’ strategy, ensuring client satisfaction, developing solutions and service delivery models that help clients solve business issues, acquiring key analytics assets and building a strong leadership team.
Siva’s prior experience includes leading key operating units in organizations such as EDS, MphasiS, Perot Systems, Gartner and Intel corp. In addition to vast healthcare experience, Siva has deep expertise in analytics, business consulting, technology and finance. He has also successfully led 7 M&A deals as an operator and has helped realize value for investors and clients. Siva is a frequent speaker in industry events and has published thought pieces in the areas of healthcare, innovation, next generation service delivery models and analytics. Siva holds an M.B.A. from Ross school of Business at University of Michigan and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Pittsburgh.
Krishna has more than 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, and mergers and acquisitions in the area of business services. His experience also includes managing units that deliver services to healthcare constituents. His expertise is in strategic sales that involve combining services, products, and analytics to deliver diverse solutions across healthcare segments including health plans, providers, pharma, and life sciences. He has successfully worked on strategic initiatives in the areas of claims, care, consumer, and provider-related areas.
Krishna has worked with industry-leading firms including Perot Systems, Gartner, Infinite, and IBM. He has also played key roles in the negotiation and execution of several sizeable acquisitions.
Krishna holds an M.B.A from New York University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
Karthik has over 27 years of experience in the IT/BPO Industry in areas of operations, delivery, sales, M&A, and operations management. As Head of Operations Management for Chennai Delivery Center of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), he oversaw 20,000 employees and $1B revenues.
Karthik headed two acquisitions, Combined Benefits Insurance Company, Missoula, MT, and Phoenix Global Services, CT. He also headed the transformation for the largest BPO deal in insurance area (UK-based Pearl deal, valued at over $800M). Karthik has conceptualized and launched several strategic initiatives in leadership development, knowledge management (KM), and innovation.
Karthik holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science from University of Madras.
With over twenty five years in healthcare, Ms. Higgins brings considerable experience and expertise in working with both payers and providers in addressing the challenges of a changing healthcare landscape. Prior to joining SCIO Healthcare Analytics, Ms. Higgins was the SVP & GM for Population and Risk Management at McKesson, Ms. Higgins led the cross portfolio strategies for McKesson Technology Solutions (MTS) related to accountable care, population health and engagement management and execution of the company’s Population Management strategy. Ms. Higgins has been central to the exploration and development of solutions that address emerging market opportunities specifically those addressing the challenges posed by healthcare reform and a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
As President, North America at SCIO Healthcare Analytics, Ms. Higgins is responsible for P&L management including new analytics, services, technology, program and product development, financial planning, operating and capital budgeting, and customer relations.
Ms. Higgins has a B.S.N Degree in Nursing from Duquesne University and a Masters of Public Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
In his role as the Chief Evangelist for SCIO®, Dave interacts with strategic audiences with precise messaging of the value proposition of SCIO's innovative products and services, and engages clients to solve their impending issues. He enables strategic relationships with key partner companies by understanding their needs based on the changing healthcare landscape. This in turn provides immediate feedback to SCIO’s product development and delivery team on new ideas.
David Hom is an internationally-recognized expert in the field of consumer engagement through programs such as Value Based Benefits and Employee Wellness. He joined SCIO Health Analytics® in 2009 after more than 25 years with Pitney-Bowes Corporation, where he was responsible for introducing their leading-edge programs in value-based wellness and responsible for reducing medical trend by 50% of the industry average each year for 15 years. Dave has been a visionary at SCIO®, and has built SCIO’s leading products on behavioral economics applications for many health plans and a technology-enabled solution to engage members based on the gap value and it’s impact on avoidable hospital events.
Dave has co-authored two leading books on Value Based Designs which have been read by over 250,000 Benefit and Health Plan executives and co-founded a nonprofit company in 2007.
Ms. Faillace has been in the health insurance industry for over 20 years. Ms. Faillace was one of the founding partners of Hospital Audit Locus, Inc. d/b/a National Audit where she served in various capacities over the past 10 years. Previously, she served as Director of Customer Service, Government Relations and Grievance and Appeals at a regional health insurance company. Subsequent to the sale of the company to a large national health insurance company, she took the position of Vice President of Operations in Puerto Rico. Ms. Faillace was responsible for the operations of the claims processing and recovery, enrollment and customer service departments. She is certified in health care compliance and privacy by the Health Care Compliance Association.
Dr. Kevin is an eminent physician with about 25 years of experience behind him filled with numerous achievements and milestones. He was previously working as a Palliative Care Physician at The Permanente Medical Group. One of his greatest achievements include the creation of Value based benefit design for Providence Health Plan where he held the position of a CMO. Moreover, he was the chief of Medicine at Kaiser Permanente.
Dr. Keck has joined SCIO Health Analytics® as our Chief Medical Officer and will lead the Clinical Analytics development team. His responsibilities will include assessing the leakage and the impact of quality and cost in Provider Analytics. He will also provide us with his valuable insights on prescriptive analytics to measure the impact on therapeutic drug classes based on member risk levels. Moreover, he will also play a role in enhancing SCIO’s behavior economics model.
Jacob is a Finance professional with more than 18 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Commercial, Legal, Audit, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc. Prior to joining SCIOinspire, Jacob held senior finance positions in MphasiS, a EDS/HP Company with annual revenues in excess of $1 billion. There he was the VP Finance of MphasiS BPO - the 10,000+ strong business process outsourcing division of MphasiS and later as EVP of Eldorado Computing, the healthcare benefit management division of MphasiS. Jacob played a key role in all the major acquisitions of MphasiS - in China, India, US, UK, etc. Jacob has also held senior positions in PepsiCo, as the CFO of one of its joint ventures and was also a Senior Manager in KPMG.
Jacob is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a Commerce graduate.
Ben has been a leader in software development and architecture for over 30 years and brings breadth and depth of experience designing large-scale server architectures. Ben has led technical organizations in Healthcare, Financial Services, and Manufacturing.
Prior to joining SCIO, Ben held the role of CTO at MedProof/Hearst Health where he created the software and technical vision for their knowledge-based clinical content generation systems. He has also driven the architecture and development strategy for a variety of advanced healthcare analytics products with McKesson as well as Health Dialog. Before that, Ben was a Vice President with Fidelity Investments and was also founder of Client Server Systems, Inc.
Ben holds a bachelor of arts degree from Boston College.
Based in the US, Arun leads the Care Optimizationand SCIOXpert business units, and oversees P&L, solutions, sales support, delivery and client engagement. He works closely with the U.S. healthcare ecosystem consisting of payers (Commercial and Blues), providers (Hospitals and Pharmacies), healthcare benefit managers, employers and life science professionals.
Previously Arun was based in India and headed the Global Analytics & Technology Centers of Excellence in both Revenue Optimization and Care Optimization. He was also responsible for managing the off-shore operations.
Arun is a Six Sigma RABQSA Black Belt certification holder from Benchmark and has previously worked in various positions at TCS including Payer Practice Lead, Group Lead and Senior Consultant in the Corporate Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice, in Kaiser Permanente IT, Pasadena, CA., at various levels including Global Delivery Head and Applications & Interfaces Manager and as a solutions architect with Citibank Credit Cards division, Singapore, AXA SLA Insurance, UK; and as a developer in Singapore Government PMO IT.
Arun’s domain experience includes focused healthcare payer product experience, AHM certification, HL7 Certified Interface Manager, Offshore-Onsite Models, KPO, Delivery Head, Products Management, Solution Architecture, and Business Intelligence and IT Integration Specialist. He has built end-to-end BPMN for health plans and providers, and h-BIDS – BI for healthcare, banking, government and insurance.
Brendon has more than 20 years of experience in Operations and Technology, specializing in data processing, data migration, business process improvements, and systems implementation. He has international experience and expertise in six sigma methodology and process improvement. Prior to joining SOCRATES, Mr. Tucker was the head of technology for International Personal Banking – a division of Citigroup.
Mr. Tucker holds an Associate Arts Degree in Computer Science from St. John Rigby College, Wigan, UK, and he is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Ms. Norton has over 20 year’s experience in healthcare across many facets of the industry including health systems, providers, ACOs and payor organizations. She brings considerable experience and expertise in product strategy and optimization of clinical technology solutions and services. As the SVP of Marketing and Sales support at SCIO Health Analytics®, she oversees strategic marketing and sales support initiatives across multiple lines of business to drive growth, profitability and market awareness. She works with members of the C-suite at client and partner organizations to disseminate their success and measurable outcomes related to leveraging analytics and HIT for care and reimbursement optimization.
Prior to joining SCIO®, Ms. Norton was the Director, Product Marketing and Strategy at Zynx Health Incorporated, a subsidiary of the Hearst Corporation. She also spent over 12 years with McKesson Corporation leading marketing and product strategy for the Horizon Clinical product suite. Her past experiences as a nurse leader and clinical informatics executive provide her with a unique perspective on the impact information technology can have on care quality and outcomes.
She has lectured and published nationally and internationally on a variety of subjects and is a member of several industry organizations including, HIMSS, NPSF, AONE, ANIA and past board member of CHIMSS and AMIA. She also holds an Adjunct Instructor position for the School of Nursing, Informatics Program at the University of Colorado at Denver Health Science Center.
Ms. Norton received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of Florida and her Masters of Science in Nursing with a healthcare informatics specialty from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.
With 20 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Sanjay Nayyar brings considerable experience and expertise in developing solutions for the Life Sciences industry. Prior to joining SCIO Health Analytics, Sanjay worked for several Business Intelligence consultancies including Hitachi Consulting leading the Business Intelligence practice.
As SVP, Life Sciences Europe at SCIO Health Analytics, Sanjay is responsible for P&L management including new analytics, services, technology, program and product development, financial planning, operating and capital budgeting, and customer relations.
Sanjay holds a degree in Software Engineering From Birmingham University.
Tom Peterson brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare. Prior to joining the SCIO team, Tom was CEO and co-founder of Clear Vision Information Systems (acquired by SCIO® in 2016), which designed software and services to optimize care and revenue for plans and providers across the country. Tom brings a unique perspective to revenue and care optimization having held positions at major health plans including Blue Shield of California and Blue Cross of California, as well as providers such as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. His extensive background in clinical data related to risk adjustment, system design and analysis, provider outreach and training program development led to his involvement in the Industry Collaboration Effort (ICE), the development of training forums and best-practice presentations on risk adjustment for the industry. In his role with SCIO, Tom leads the operations in Westlake Village, California overseeing the strategic direction and IT innovation to ensure growth and alignment with evolving industry needs.
Mr. Hedrick has been in the health insurance industry for over 40 years. Before forming National Audit (acquired by SCIO® in 2011), , he was Executive Director at a Fortune 500® health insurance company’s service center in Jacksonville, Florida. He was responsible for designing, planning, launching and managing the service center’s processing operations handling Florida and Puerto Rico. At the service center, he oversaw 1,400 employees, the processing of 10 million claims, 4 million customer inquiries and an operating budget of $37 million.
Mike has over 20 year’s experience in Business Intelligence within the Life Sciences industry. As one of the co-founders of Data Intelligence (acquired by SCIO® in 2015), Mike believed Life Science organizations needed a partner that would go beyond business intelligence by bringing together disparate data and providing actionable insights to optimize commercial excellence and collaboration.
Prior to co-founding Data Intelligence, Mike worked as a Program Director at Nielsen and a Product Development Director at IMS Health. He was responsible for the development of several products widely used within the industry today. Mike holds a degree in Business and Economics from the University of Sheffield.
